This blog has been getting spammed up a lot. A LOT. So I had to put the word verification on, I know that you hate it (well, I hate it) but it will cut down in the spamming of the blog. Just an FYI.
I tried the word verification too, but I hate it and it was only my older posts getting spammed. So I started moderating comments and then I changed so anon can't comment. I don't know why it started getting spammed so much.
I thought about removing the anon option but less than half were anonymous. I'll have to see how it goes, if it doesn't work I'll have to take it down. But for now I'm sick of comments about xanax and viagra.
I haven't had a problem with spam, but I've got word verification and comment moderation enabled. Guess I'm a bit paranoid. But I really don't want to have to deal with a flood of spam if some bot takes a fancy to my blog.

I've been getting spam comments a lot lately, too. It's super annoying. I think I'm going to have to start Word Verification as well.
You can always play Word verification Balderdash... :)
If you remove the Anonymous option, that will help verses word verification and it's less of a pain for commenters.
