Today I got a concussion.

Hi,

I was hit in the head with a boom mic. This is what a boom mic is and looks like:



Except the one I was hit by was a lot heavier (this one advertises a light pole, ours was heavy). They're used for filming. I was sitting where I was supposed to be and two of the crew were trading places so they traded the mic. They're trade off didn't work out too well because it got dropped and landed on my head. At first I thought that I was fine but about an hour later I realized that I was feeling really sick. SO, I went to urgent care and they said that I did get a concussion and to go to the ER. At the ER they did the Cat Scan thingy and found out that my brain was fine just bruised (because I had a concussion) BUT my neck was strained. So now I have a weird neck brace to wear for the next few days. Overall, I got a concussion. My 1st ever.

You know, I wouldn't have done anything if I hadn't read Looking For Alaska. You see, in the book, a character gets a concussion and starts listing the symptoms. So Thank You John Green for telling me the symptoms of a concussion. Otherwise I would have ended up worse. Well, my head would have been okay but my neck would have been tweaked if I didn't get that foam neck brace.

So yeah. I'll probably take a break tomorrow from filming a video. I'm going to be very medicated over the next few days.
